Welcome to MISA Prairies
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2010 Spring Conference in Regina, and "kudos" to the Regina volunteers for organizing and pulling off such a great event! The May, 2010 Municipal Interface has some great articles and pictures from the conference, so thanks to editor Lawrence Moule for that.
In September, Prairies members will congregate at the MISA West Conference in Vernon BC. You can see more about that conference at this site: www.misa2010.ca. There will be a Prairies chapter meeting on the MISA West schedule. Items such as a draft Prairies strategic plan and announcing a host for the 2011 Spring Conference will be two topics covered.
Kelly Kaban from Yorkton is the new Prairies Membership Chair, taking over from Natalia Madden. Natalia has been in that role since the branch started, and will remain as the Alberta rep on the committee until the fall meeting, when we will ask for another Alberta volunteer.
Remember to take time for yourself and family over the summer months. There is much great work to be done, so take care of yourself along the road to success.
